How to Get Involved

There are many ways you can get involved:

You can make healthier choices. Smoke and drink less. Exercise more. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Spend quality time with your family and friends. Complete an advanced directive. And many more....
You can encourage healthier choices in other members of your family and with your friends and co-workers.
You can join one of our action teams. Each team has different ways to get involved. You might want to plan future strategies or help at one event or become a speaker on a special health topic or speak to a legislator about a health issue. Just attend a meeting or call the contact person and we'll find something for you to do!
You can help formulate healthy public policy. Speak to your local council person, county board supervisor, state or US legislator about health issues.
