The two of us (Eric and Kathy), on our bicycles, with a road map, having fun and meeting friendly people along the way; this wasn't just a dream, it was a starting point. In the summer of 1998, we set out on an adventure that would change our lives forever.

America Walks A nonprofit organization that leads a national coalition of local advocacy groups dedicated to promoting walkable communities. The mission is to foster the development of community-based pedestrian advocacy groups, to educate the public about the benefits of walking, and, when appropriate, to act as a collective voice for walking advocates.
