Healthier Generation Product Navigator

Alliance launched Healthy Schools Product Navigator. The new Healthy Schools Product Navigator, a free online tool from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, lists products that meet the Alliance School Snack Food Guidelines.

To find healthy foods, just check the Navigator to find out if a product is on the list. Then you know it meets the Alliance per serving limits for calories, total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, salt, and sugar. Schools can visit the Healthier Generation link below to create a shopping list of healthy snacks to consult when purchasing snacks from their distributor or local wholesale store. Snack Food Association endorsed Alliance school food guidelines.

The Snack Food Association, which represents more than 400 snack makers and suppliers worldwide, announced its endorsement of the school food guidelines released by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation in October, 2006. "The Snack Food Association is delighted to be part of a growing coalition of companies and trade associations that are doing their part to help parents, educators, and health professionals teach kids about healthier lifestyles," said Jim McCarthy, the SFA's president and CEO.
